Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, Chairman of the Thai Insurance Business Council and President of the Thai General Insurance Association, presided over the trophy presentation ceremony for the 13th Insurance Football Tournament (7-a-side), organized by the Insurance Member Club, to build camaraderie and strengthen relationships among insurance companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year’s 13th Insurance Football Tournament (7-a-side) had a total of 23 insurance companies participating, divided into 33 teams in the men’s category and 10 teams in the senior men’s category. The tournament was held over 3 days, from 7\u20138 March 2026 and 14 March 2026, at 1st Avenue Football Club, with the following results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Men’s Category<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Champion: Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving the honorary trophy of Mr. Chuchat Pramoolpol, Secretary-General of the OIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st Runner-up: Mitr Thai Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving the honorary trophy of Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, Chairman of the Thai Insurance Business Council and President of the Thai General Insurance Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2nd Runner-up: Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited and Thanachart Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving the honorary trophy of Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director, Thai General Insurance Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Senior Category<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Champion: Thanachart Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving the honorary trophy of Mr. Chuchat Pramoolpol, Secretary-General of the OIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st Runner-up: Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving the honorary trophy of Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, Chairman of the Thai Insurance Business Council and President of the Thai General Insurance Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2nd Runner-up: Muang Thai Insurance Public Company Limited and Thai Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving the honorary trophy of Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director, Thai General Insurance Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year’s tournament also featured 2 special awards: the Best Sportsmanship Team Award, sponsored by Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, Chairman of the Thai Insurance Business Council and President of the Thai General Insurance Association, and the Best Sportsmanship Individual Award, sponsored by Mr. Sukthep Chansrichawala, Vice President of the Thai General Insurance Association. The special award results were as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st Prize: Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving an honorary trophy along with a cash prize of 20,000 baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2nd Prize: Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving a cash prize of 10,000 baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Best Sportsmanship Individual Award:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st Prize: Mr. Atthaphon Bunjerm, number 8, from Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving an honorary trophy along with a cash prize of 10,000 baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2nd Prize: Mr. Piyarat Akkachan, number 11, from Mitr Thai Insurance Public Company Limited, receiving a cash prize of 5,000 baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This football tournament also featured a special friendly match between the Thai General Insurance Association team, together with the OIC, against the King Blue team.
