Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director of the Thai General Insurance Association, together with his team, welcomed a delegation of executives from AM Best Asia-Pacific on a visit to exchange views on the overall insurance business landscape, domestic and international economic trends, as well as risk assessment criteria and approaches to applying rating systems in a manner suited to the context of the Thai insurance market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The discussion focused on developing risk assessment approaches that appropriately reflect Thailand’s business environment, reducing the limitations of applying international assessment criteria, and supporting the advancement of standards in the Thai insurance industry so that it can grow steadily, transparently, and in line with international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
