The Thai General Insurance Association, led by Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director, together with the Association’s team, welcomed Winnie Tan, Team Lead Senior Client Manager and Vice President of Swiss Re, and team. The meeting discussed trends in Thailand’s non-life insurance industry following the earthquake, including the context in which changes to catastrophe insurance underwriting policy in Thailand may occur. Swiss Re also provided recommendations on earthquake risk, earthquake insurance underwriting, and approaches for catastrophe insurance underwriting, consistent with the Association’s direction of continuing to coordinate cooperation in the future, on Friday, 9 May 2025, at the Thai General Insurance Association.
