Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director, Thai General Insurance Association, welcomed faculty and students from Kasetsart University, Sri Racha Campus, from the Data Analytics and Actuarial Science program, Faculty of Science, Sri Racha, and gave a special lecture on the topic “Overview of the Non-Life Insurance Business: Future and Career Opportunities for the Younger Generation,” with Associate Professor Narongrit Kaeobanchak, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Science, Sri Racha, and Chair of the Data Analytics and Actuarial Science program, together with faculty and students, with 66 attendees.
In addition, the Association also invited speakers from various fields to introduce career paths and share perspectives and experience in preparing to enter the workforce for the students, such as:
– Getting to know the Actuary profession, by Ms. Kamolphan Weeraklaew, Head of Actuarial and Analytics, LMG Insurance Public Company Limited
– Learning about data analysis in the insurance business, by the team from Thai Insurance Research and Development Co., Ltd. (TIRD): Ms. Khemika Nakphanom, Head of Actuarial Advisory; Mr. Pichitchai Murichan, Actuarial Analyst; Mr. Phumipak Limpanavetsakul, Actuarial Analyst
In addition, the event also opened a forum for students to talk and exchange experiences with the Young Gen Insurance Ambassador (YGIA), to learn about career paths and the perspectives of the younger generation on today’s insurance business.
