The Thai General Insurance Association, through Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director, Ms. Wanlika Buranathong, Assistant Executive Director, General Operations and Corporate Communications, together with Association staff, welcomed a delegation from Lloyd’s Development Group, Australia, on a study visit regarding the insurance market in Thailand, covering the current overview of the insurance market, growth trends in the insurance business, key events affecting the industry, as well as the development of technology and insurance product innovations with potential for future growth. This study visit reflects the interest of the global insurance industry in Thailand’s insurance market, which is increasingly gaining attention on the international stage.
Lloyd’s Development Group of Australia is a volunteer-run industry group that plays an important role in providing education and networking for personnel in the insurance industry, such as insurance brokers, underwriters, and claims specialists, with the goal of developing the profession and elevating the knowledge and capabilities of personnel in the insurance market, on 17 October 2025 at the Thai General Insurance Association.
