The Thai General Insurance Association held a religious merit-making ceremony to mark the 58th anniversary of the Association’s founding, with the Executive Committee, executives from member companies, and Association staff attending the ceremony for auspiciousness, at the Thai General Insurance Association Building, Sukhumvit Soi 64/1.
Over the past 58 years, the Thai General Insurance Association has played an important role in promoting, supporting, and developing the non-life insurance industry as one of the key mechanisms of Thailand’s economy and society, while continuing to develop steadily to build confidence among the public and the non-life insurance business sector.
In 2025, the Thai General Insurance Association received honorary awards that brought great pride, including:
• The “Outstanding Trade Association” Award for 2025 from the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce
• Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, President of the Thai General Insurance Association, received the “Outstanding Trade Association President” Award for 2025
• Most recently, the Thai General Insurance Association won the “Outstanding Building Safety Award” at the Bronze level from the BSA: Building Safety Awards 2025 platform, reflecting the professional-level safety standards and management of its head office building
These achievements reflect the Association’s commitment to developing the non-life insurance industry to grow with stability, transparency, and sustainability, while continuing to serve as the hub of Thailand’s non-life insurance business sector in driving the country’s economy forward.
