Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, President of the Thai General Insurance Association, joined in listening to the panel discussion ‘Awakening, Adapting, Facing Climate Risk in the New World’ (Adapting to Climate Change; New World – New Risk – New Practice), organized by the Insurance Operations Center for Managing and Assisting the Public in Disaster Situations, Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), to promote cooperation between the OIC and the insurance industry in risk management, and preparing to effectively respond to changing climate conditions. Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanich, President of the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), was the lecturer, and representatives from various agencies joined the panel discussion, comprising: Ms. Wasumadee Waseenon, Deputy Secretary-General for Intermediary Supervision and Regional Insurance; Mr. Olan Wongsurapichet, Chief Executive Officer, Thai Reinsurance Public Company Limited; Dr. Charika Channantapipat, Academic on Business Operations and Sustainable Development; and Mr. Nattapisit Kruttkrongchai, Chief Executive Officer, Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance Public Company Limited, on 4 March 2025, at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Senior Insurance Institute, Office of Insurance Commission.
