Mr. Juthawat Pengsri, Chairman of the Marine and Logistics Insurance Committee, Thai General Insurance Association, together with the committee and the Marine Insurance Club, attended the SCMA-JTJB Bangkok Conference 2025, organized by the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) together with JTJB International Lawyers. The Association was honored to be one of the Supporting Organizations for this event.
At the event, Mr. Juthawat Pengsri was honored to be a speaker in the panel discussion under the topic “Making sense of today’s shipping business: What risks and opportunities are the statistics and trends telling us?”, presenting statistical data and analyzing trends in the maritime shipping business, and exchanging in-depth views on how to cope with changes that may arise in the industry in the near future.
This conference provided an opportunity for participants from various sectors of the maritime shipping industry, such as ship owners, import-export operators, logistics operators, ports, P&I Club insurers, maritime lawyers, and arbitrators, to exchange knowledge and experience from both domestic and international perspectives, helping to build understanding of the continuously changing context of the industry.
The Association places importance on promoting the role of Thailand’s marine insurance industry on the international stage, including cooperation with international partner organizations, which will benefit the sustainable long-term development of Thailand’s marine and logistics insurance market, on 31 July 2025 at the Hilton Bangkok Grande Asoke.
