Ms. Kanlaya Jukhom, Deputy Executive Director, Thai General Insurance Association, attended a discussion meeting to prepare supporting information for proposing a draft Ministerial Regulation on determining the amount of preliminary damages, preliminary damages retention, and preliminary damages payment, B.E. …., issued under the Hazardous Substances Act B.E. 2535. This draft Ministerial Regulation sets out criteria for paying preliminary damages for insurance of vehicles transporting hazardous substances under the Hazardous Substances Act that have accidents, to agencies that assist, relocate, treat, mitigate, or remove damage that occurs to the environment to restore it to its original or near-original condition, in order to prevent and mitigate damage from spreading widely, without needing to wait for proof of liability, on 21 March 2024, at Meeting Room 505, Department of Industrial Works, chaired by Mr. Chulapong Taweesri, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works.
