The Thai General Insurance Association’s Insurance Accountants Club held a seminar on ‘Training for the Implementation of Financial Reporting Standards on Insurance Contracts (TFRS 17) and Financial Instruments (TFRS 9),’ to strengthen knowledge and understanding of implementing the TFRS 17 standard, issues that have arisen and approaches to resolve them, including practice guidelines for considering impairment of financial instruments (Expected Credit Loss: ECL) under the related TFRS 9 standard, honored by Mr. Harin Ard-amnuayvipas and Ms. Oramanee Folraux, from PricewaterhouseCoopers ABAS Ltd. (PwC), as speakers, with participants from 48 member companies, the Accounting-Finance and Investment Committee, and the Insurance Accountants Club, a total of 267 participants, divided into 104 Onsite and 163 Online, on Wednesday, 19 March 2025.

Note: PwC is in the process of applying for course approval from the Federation of Accounting Professions, to count towards 6 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for auditors and accountants, though this can only be counted for participants attending Onsite.
