Mr. Pirat Wongsaisuwan, Registrar and Chairman of the Law and Regulation Committee, together with representatives of the Accounting, Finance, and Investment Committee, the Law and Regulation Committee, Thai General Insurance Association, and representatives from non-life insurance companies, held discussions with the OIC, to jointly upgrade the use of corrective measures and supervisory intervention regarding the financial status and stability of insurance companies, to prevent problems from escalating and to be able to address problems at their root cause, before problems occur or expand widely enough to affect policyholders and the public, with measures implemented from light to severe, giving insurance companies the opportunity to establish measures to prevent or correct their financial status and operations, according to the prescribed guidelines. Mr. Sorat Raeksakulchai, Assistant Secretary-General for Examination, OIC, chaired the meeting, on 23 May 2025, at the Office of Insurance Commission.
