Mr. Piyaphat Wanaukrit, Chairman of the Accident and Health Insurance Committee, Thai General Insurance Association, together with the committee, held discussions with the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), to jointly clarify problems faced by the non-life insurance business sector, and build mutual understanding of approaches for approving and renewing individual health insurance premium rates, with the goal of building understanding of the OIC’s practice guidelines, reducing obstacles in the operations of member companies, and promoting efficient premium rate setting consistent with the regulatory framework.
In the discussion, the OIC agreed to prepare practice guidelines for non-life insurance companies to acknowledge, to create correct mutual understanding. Mr. Paiboon Piammetta, Assistant Secretary-General for Insurance Product Supervision, OIC, chaired the meeting, on 28 May 2025, from 10:00–12:00, at Meeting Room 302, 3rd Floor, Office of Insurance Commission.
