Ms. Kanlaya Jukhom, Deputy Executive Director, Thai General Insurance Association, together with Association staff, attended the international academic conference “2025 NH Agriculture & Reinsurance Forum,” organized by NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance, to exchange knowledge on agricultural insurance, featuring lectures and panel discussions from world-class experts on various topics, such as agricultural insurance market trends, livestock risk management, and case studies of public-private cooperation from leading global insurance and reinsurance companies.
In addition, there was also a Business Matching activity to build international cooperation networks, and study visit activities, such as visiting rural apple orchards and smart greenhouses, which are examples of the effective application of modern technology together with local wisdom. The delegation also visited important cultural sites in Gyeongju City, to build understanding of the social and cultural context, which is an important factor in developing the agricultural insurance system.
Attending this event marks another important step for the Association in driving proactive policy, strengthening knowledge, and expanding international cooperation networks, to apply in developing Thailand’s agricultural insurance system to be strong, modern, and sustainable, with more than 100 participants from various countries around the world attending.
