Thai General Insurance Association Promotes Cooperation in Developing Insurance Personnel in East Asia through Participation in the ISJ Advanced Course, Batch 35

The Insurance Business and Academic Development Committee, Thai General Insurance Association, continues to raise the capability of personnel in Thailand’s non-life insurance industry, having selected suitable personnel to receive training scholarships for the ISJ Advanced Course, Batch 35, under the topic “Development of a Strategy for a Resilient and Sustainable General Insurance Business,” organized by the General Insurance Association of Japan (GIAJ), with a total of 3 scholarships available.

The written examination was held on 24 February 2025, and the interview was held on 28 February 2025, at the Thai General Insurance Association, with 5 member companies submitting 5 candidates for selection, and the following selected scholarship recipients:

1. Ms. Sasichaya Sathienchakan, Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited

2. Ms. Jitraporn Ua-amporn, Thanachart Insurance Public Company Limited

3. Mr. Wichukorn Nilmanat, Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited

All three scholarship recipients attended training under the topic “Development of a Strategy for a Resilient and Sustainable General Insurance Business,” with the training format divided into 2 parts:

Online, during 28 May – 3 June 2025

In Tokyo, Japan, during 11–17 June 2025

In this training, participants developed business strategic plans based on their own context, exchanged views with regional experts, and joined discussions on issues of uncertainty in the business environment, which is viewed as an “opportunity” rather than an “obstacle” for the future growth of the insurance industry.

The Thai General Insurance Association believes that promoting personnel to participate in international courses such as this will help strengthen regional cooperation networks, and push Thailand’s non-life insurance industry to grow sustainably and adapt efficiently in an era of change.
