The Thai General Insurance Association, represented by Ms. Nittaya Piriyatammawong, Chairwoman of the Accounting-Finance and Investment Committee, and the Accounting-Finance Committee, together with Mr. Thani Songtanacharoenkit, Chairman of the Accounting and Tax Systems Subcommittee, Thai Life Assurance Association, held discussions with the Insurance Business Analysis Line, Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), on improving financial data submission timelines. The discussion aimed to request a review of the financial reporting requirements for insurance companies, and to propose relaxing the deadline for submitting quarterly reports (Unaudited Data).
The adoption of Financial Reporting Standard No. 17 has resulted in an increased workload, causing significant concern within the insurance industry. The Association therefore requested that the OIC review the financial reporting requirements for insurance companies, and establish an operational format that benefits both the business sector and the regulator, within a practically achievable timeframe. Ms. Chamanan Netpukkana, Assistant Secretary-General, Insurance Business Analysis Line, and Dr. Ayurasri Khamburue, Assistant Secretary-General, Regulatory Standards Development Line, chaired the meeting.
On 4 August 2025, from 10:00–12:00.
At the Institute Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of Insurance Commission.
