Thai General Insurance Association Attends the 31st EAIC Executive Board Meeting in Japan

Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, President of the Thai General Insurance Association, as Chief Delegate from Bangkok, together with Mr. Sukthep Chansrichawala, Vice President, and Mr. Olan Wongsurapichet, Secretary-General, attended the 31st EAIC Executive Board Meeting (The 31st East Asian Insurance Congress Executive Board Meeting), to discuss and prepare for hosting the 31st EAIC, which Japan will host, during 14-16 September 2026, at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba Hotel. At this EAIC Executive Board meeting, the host presented the readiness of the venue, accommodation, and travel arrangements, as well as presenting the main theme for next year’s event, titled “Back to the Origin, A Bridge to the Future – Asia Reunites at Tokyo.”

EAIC is a large-scale international platform for the Asia-Pacific region, providing an opportunity for senior executives of direct insurers, reinsurance companies, insurance brokers, experts, and academics in the insurance industry worldwide to gather every 2 years, with each meeting attracting over a thousand participants, to exchange new insurance information and news. EAIC is also considered an apolitical international conference platform with a long history, first held in Tokyo, Japan, in 1962. EAIC currently has members named after the capital cities and special economic zones of 12 locations: Bandar Seri Begawan, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Manila, Phnom Penh, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, and Tokyo, with members rotating as hosts every 2 years, on 30 September 2025 at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba Hotel, Tokyo, Japan.
