Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, Executive Director, Thai General Insurance Association, together with Association staff, welcomed a delegation from Global World Insurance Co., Ltd. (GWI), Myanmar, led by Mr. Soe Win Thant, Chief Executive Officer, on the occasion of a study visit and knowledge exchange on international insurance agent management, as well as approaches for developing popular insurance products that meet customer needs. On this occasion, Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri delivered a special lecture on “Landscape of Thailand Insurance Industry,” to share an overview and key trends of Thailand’s insurance industry, such as market direction, customer base expansion strategies, and applying technology to develop products and services in line with current consumer behavior.
In addition, both organizations exchanged important information across various areas, including studying operational approaches and effective support systems for insurance agents, sharing experience in building career paths and growth opportunities for agents in the insurance industry to inspire and raise professionalism, and analyzing general insurance products in demand in the market, to further develop coverage plans that better meet customer needs.
This study visit marked another important step in strengthening relations and cooperation between the Thai and Myanmar insurance industries, while reaffirming the Thai General Insurance Association’s role as a hub for exchanging non-life insurance knowledge at the ASEAN regional level, on Monday, 26 January 2026, from 09:00–12:00, at Meeting Room 701, Thai General Insurance Association.
