The Accident and Health Insurance Committee and the Medical Advisory Board, Thai General Insurance Association, together with representatives from the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) (Insurance Product Supervision Line), attended a presentation by Milliman on “Initiatives to Enhance Sustainability of Private Medical Insurance,” via online (Google Meet).
The presentation shared in-depth perspectives and international case studies on the sustainability of private health insurance, covering approaches to controlling medical service utilization and reducing unnecessary claims through cost-sharing mechanisms and hospital network management, as well as applying data and in-depth analysis, such as fraud detection, provider cost comparison, and analysis of factors affecting claims trends.
This activity was part of tracking knowledge and international trends, for studying and developing Thailand’s private health insurance system to be stable and sustainable in the long term, on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at 11:00, at the Thai General Insurance Association.
