The Thai General Insurance Association, through the Accident and Health Insurance Committee, held a briefing meeting on the “New Medical Expense Billing Structure (SIMB II – Itemized Billing)” for private hospitals (both members and non-members of the Private Hospital Association), honored by Dr. Monsan Asavanopakiat, Director of Product and Pricing Structure, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited, as speaker, to review approaches for developing the new medical expense billing structure, provide an opportunity for practical Q&A, and build mutual understanding, so as to create clarity and standardization of medical expenses for the benefit of service recipients, in coordination with the Private Hospital Association, the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), and the Thai Life Assurance Association.
This meeting was honored by Ms. Ploen Angwattanakul, Senior Director, Insurance Policy and Product Development Bureau, OIC, who presided over the opening of the briefing meeting, with a total of 175 participants comprising the Accident and Health Insurance Committee, medical advisory board, Thai General Insurance Association, OIC, Thai Life Assurance Association, Private Hospital Association, 25 private hospitals, non-life insurance companies, and life insurance companies, on 23 April 2026 via Zoom Meeting.
